October marked the Fall visits to our StreetSquash Alumni who have gone away to school. Over three weeks, our amazing Director of Alumni Outreach met with 22 college students all over Upstate New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. During the visits we check in to make sure that all of these students have started the year off right, speak with college staff to make sure that they are connected to the right people and are on track, and troubleshoot any issues that may have already come up. In addition to that, we always go out for a meal off campus and maybe do a quick shopping trip for supplies!

Some highlights this year included having a StreetSquash/City Squash NUSEA sponsored meal in Geneva, NY with all of the Hobart and William Smith College students, seeing our SUNY University transfers having a wonderful sophomore year at their new school, and meeting with all of our college seniors to start planning their next professional moves.

StreetSquash visited: Dickinson College, Ursinus College, SUNY Purchase, SUNY Alfred State, SUNY Buffalo State, SUNY University at Buffalo, Clarkson University, Ithaca College, SUNY Potsdam, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Trinity College, SUNY University at Albany, Cazenovia College, and Wesleyan University.
We also made a quick stop to Mercersberg Academy to visit Kionne ’17 to see how he was doing in his first semester in boarding school.
