SUMMER DISCOVERY PROGRAM
Enrollment Form for Current StreetSquash Students
July 5th – August 19th
Monday – Friday 9:30 am to 4:30 pm

The StreetSquash Summer Discovery Program, hosted at the S. L. Green StreetSquash Center, is starting! This program is open to students entering 6th-9th grade at our partner schools. Only Summer Discovery campers will be invited to join our school year program.

STREETSQUASH SUMMER DISCOVERY PROGRAM OFFERS:

SQUASH: Learn how to play an exciting racquet sport that is fun and great exercise!

ENRICHMENT: Keep your mind fresh and engaged during the summer with educational, team-based activities and games!

CULTURAL EXPOSURE: Experience field trips to sites across New York City.

 

Details:

Parents are responsible for getting their children to and from the S. L. Green StreetSquash Center at 41 West 115th Street between Lenox and Fifth Aves.

Students are to arrive promptly by 9:30 am every Monday – Friday.

Free lunch will be provided. Students will NOT be able to bring their own lunch

    Wednesdays - Pool at Children’s Aid Society at 32 W 118th St. There will be a lifeguard on duty. Students will need to take a swim test in order to swim past 5 feet. Fridays - Field trip related to the enrichment curriculum (within 9:30-4:30 time frame)

    Parents are responsible for getting their children to and from the S. L. Green StreetSquash Center at 41 West 115th Street between Lenox and Fifth Aves. Students are to arrive promptly by 9:30 am every Monday - Friday.

    Please indicate what plans your child has for the summer that will conflict with Summer Discovery:

  • SUMMER DISCOVERY CODE OF CONDUCT

    1. Students should make every effort to attend the weeks they are enrolled. If for some reason a student is unable to attend program, please call StreetSquash at 289.4838 to inform staff. 2. Students must come to Summer Discovery prepared to play squash (wear athletic clothing and socks daily). Students who frequently come unprepared may be asked to leave the program. 3. No outside food is allowed in the StreetSquash Center. StreetSquash will provide lunch in partnership with the DOE School Food Program. Students are only allowed to bring lunch on field trip days but staff reserves the right to take away excessive junk food. 4. Homeroom starts at 9:30 am sharp. Breakfast should be eaten before coming to program. 5. A Summer Discovery t-shirt MUST be worn on field trip days. 6. Water bottles can be used during program. Water is only the beverage allowed at StreetSquash at any time. This includes activities outside the StreetSquash Center. 7. No electronics are allowed at StreetSquash. Cell phones will be held at the front desk in labeled bags. If a student needs to be contacted please call the main line at 212.289.4838. 8. Students are encouraged to leave valuables at home. StreetSquash is not responsible for lost or stolen property. 9. Students should try their best on the squash court and in all activities. They should act appropriately at all times and show respect to their peers and staff. Any pattern of inappropriate behavior will result in dismissal from Summer Discovery.
