Week 3 of Summer Discovery might have been our best week yet! This week we applied our math skills to understand all the numbers in Baseball. We learned how to calculate the statistics of major league players, then used those numbers to create our own baseball teams on a budget. To wrap up the week, all of Summer Discovery took a field trip to Governors Island for a giant kickball tournament. While it is still unclear whether the staff or the students were more competitive throughout the tournament, we are positive that everyone had an awesome time! Congratulations to the Purple team on their kickball victory, and to the Blue team for winning Week 3’s StreetSquash games competition!
