Simba Muhwati Chief Squash Officer

Simba joined StreetSquash in 2019. From Zimbabwe, Simba has lived in the United States for fourteen years and recently became a citizen. Part of the Trinity College Squash team from 2005-2009. In addition to being named Captain his senior year, Simba also was a Second Team All American and won five National Collegiate Championships (four as a player, and one as an assistant coach). Career win loss record at Trinity was 63-5. After graduating college, he moved to Massachusetts and served as Head Squash Professional at Cross Courts Squash and Fitness Center from 2009-2016. Simba is heavily involved with US Squash and is a Level 3 Certified Coach as well as a Certified Gold Tournament Director. Simba has coached the US Junior National Team in various international events, including the British Junior Open, Battle of the Border, and Pan-American Junior Championships. He was recently appointed to be Men’s Jr. National Assistant Coach which has seen him travel to the World Junior Squash Championships in 2017 and 2018. Leaving the Apawamis Club in Rye, New York where he was the Assistant Director of Squash under Peter Briggs. Simba lives in Norwalk, Connecticut, with his wife, Katie, and his young son, James.
