Chief Program Officer, Harlem & Newark

Tai joined StreetSquash in 2010. She graduated from Providence College in 2005 with a BA in English and a minor in Art and Black Studies after completing a yearlong intensive fine arts program at Rhode Island School of Design. She completed a Masters in School Counseling at Long Island University in 2011. After working 2 years as a Case Manager for Catholic Charities in Brooklyn, NY she began working with Harlem youth as an art enrichment teacher at Future Leaders Institute and as an Academic Advisor with the Harlem Children’s Zone. Tai served as Senior Academic Director and Program Director before assuming her current role in 2018.
