400 student-athletes from across the country competed at Amherst and William colleges in NUSEA’s 11th annual Urban Individual Nationals. StreetSquash brought home four major victories and a countless amount of memories.

On the morning of Friday, June 19, StreetSquash was hustling and bustling with StreetSquash students and staffs preparing to board the busses for Williamstown and Amherst Massachusetts. Upon arrival at Williams College, our middle schoolers jumped straight on court and joined 13 additional urban squash programs from around the country. With just over 250 student-athletes competing against each other for championship titles, our StreetSquashers made big strides throughout the weekend. We were incredibly impressed with our middle schoolers both on and off the courts, especially since this was the first national tournament for many of our StreetSquashers.

At Amherst College, 160 student-athletes from competed in the Boys and Girls Under 17 & 19 draws. The camaraderie among the urban squashers was evident, as many of our StreetSquashers have formed special bonds with students from other programs at past tournaments and events. We were equally as proud of our students at Amherst, many of whom reached at least the semi-finals in their divisions. One of our favorite highlights was watching a StreetSquash vs. StreetSquash final in the Boys Under 17 bracket between Richard ’17 and Rodney ’18 – equally exciting as it was nerve-wracking!
