Cibo Cibo Cibo!

If I had to describe my experience in Rome in one word, it would have to be incredible. From squash to gelato (which was my favorite), it feels as if we saw and participated in many aspects of Roman culture. One aspect of the culture, which was also a favorite of mine, was the food! I was never unhappy at every meal and the taste and quality of the food was so different from what I’m used to here in America.

Bucatini all’amatriciana was my all time favorite dish that I probably had about three times in Rome. It is a traditional Roman pasta dish made with tomato sauce, cheese and bacon (or sometimes beef). Finishing the meal off with delicious strawberry gelato was always something to look forward to. The food (and gelato) are definitely two things I will miss about Rome!
