Last night I took senior girls Nakayla, Samia, Jaylene and Cheyenne to the Women’s Sports Foundations Annual Salute to women in sports. It was a wonderful event and highlighted accomplishments of teams and individuals including many 2016 Rio Olympians and squash pro Maria Toorpakai who won the Humanitarian Award. Some highlights from the evening included:

• Walking the “red carpet” with our favorite squash pros, Nicol David and Amanda Sobhy
• Sharing the stage with Laila Ali, professional boxer and daughter of the late, great Muhammad Ali
• Listening to inspirational female athletes share their stories and learning about their amazing accomplishments
• The FOOD!

What a night! This evening we watched as nearly 70 Olympic, Paralympic, champion and elite athletes graced the stage for the 37th Annual Salute to Women in Sports at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. It was truly a sight to see as hundreds of people joined together to celebrate all the incredible accomplishments of women in sport and all that we will accomplish together. Read more here.
