The StreetSquash Alumni Support Program rounded 2016 off strong by partnering with NUSEA to throw the first Urban Squash Career Networking Night. The goal of the event was to provide an opportunity for alumni to engage with a diverse group of professionals, to learn about “a day in the life” in various industries, and to receive employment guidance as they navigate their own internship and career search. Thirty-five alumni from Squash Haven, CitySquash and StreetSquash were in attendance and took part in timed rotations to meet with each guest professional. Guests worked in 10 different fields including education, technology, finance, graphic design, law, event production and more from companies such as Spotify, Museum of Modern Art, Entertainment Weekly, and the Environmental Defense Fund.

The alumni were engaged and had great questions for the guests. There was such positive energy and participation from all in attendance. The evening ended with a nice group dinner and, of course, some squash!
