Remembering Frank Stella

Frank Stella served on the StreetSquash Board for over 20 years. He played a major role in the creation of StreetSquash’s permanent home – the SL Green StreetSquash Center – and served on the capital committee, which was focused on raising the funds necessary for the construction of our facility. He secured over $1 million of the total $11 million raised, and played an instrumental role in helping design the interior layout of the squash and academic spaces.

Frank cared deeply about our mission, specifically the kids and their education and well being. After the facility was built, he helped fund a lot of the technology in the classroom, always insisting that the children had access to the best resources. Frank was always kind, thoughtful, caring and supportive to everyone in the StreetSquash world. He was a wonderful member of our community, and we were blessed to have had him on our side.
