Today StreetSquash Harlem hosted 80 players from 6 different programs (SquashSmarts, SquashHaven, Steel City Squash, CitySquash, StreetSquash Newark, and StreetSquash Harlem) in a one day tournament for U13 and U15 girls and boys. With 4 draws and a total of 124 matches, the day was action-packed from 10:30 until 6:00.

With a focus on our younger and less experienced players, matches moved quickly and players were faced with the realities of winning and losing, all in a short span of time. Between focusing on squash skills and emotion management, it was a busy day.

Special thanks to Edgardo for keeping everything running smoothly, Monique for checking everyone in and helping with lunch, Jasmine for coaching and helping manage our students, Lamont, Issey, Ja-yril, and Igor for doing the court running, and Cerina for being the MVP of managing her courts.

It was an awesome day, and we’re looking forward to the next opportunity to host an event like this!
