Muntafa Rahman Academic & Youth Development Coordinator
Muntafa was born in Bangladesh and raised in Queens, New York. He graduated from A. Philip Randolph Campus High School and earned a B.S. in Computer Engineering with a concentration in Full-Stack Development from Manhattan University.
While studying engineering, Muntafa discovered a passion for education and youth development. He has worked as a STEAM instructor across New York City and previously supported students at Catholic Charities Community Services through college access and career readiness programming. He also served as a Family Development Coach at Commonpoint Bronx.
As an Academic & Youth Development Coordinator at StreetSquash, Muntafa works directly with middle school students through tutoring, academic support, and enrichment activities. He also guides eighth-grade students through the high school application process and collaborates with families, teachers, and community partners to help students reach their goals.
Outside of work, Muntafa enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and staying active by playing soccer and basketball. He speaks Bengali and English, and has experience with Spanish, Hindi, Urdu, and Arabic.
