Yahaira Dominguez Human Resources & Office Manager
Yahaira Dominguez was born in the Bronx to Dominican parents and raised in Washington Heights. After high school, she began her undergraduate studies in Aviation Administration at SUNY Farmingdale and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration from Lehman College—becoming the first college graduate in her immediate family.
Following graduation, Yahaira secured an internship with the Van Cortlandt Park Conservancy, eventually transitioning into a dual role as Human Resources Manager and Office Manager within the organization.
She later joined the New York State Division of Human Rights, where she spent eight years serving New York’s diverse population in various roles. In her final position as a Human Rights Specialist I, she conducted statewide investigations into discrimination complaints, facilitated conciliations, and secured public interest relief for both state residents and employees.
In her current role, Yahaira’s responsibilities include managing employee relations, talent acquisition and retention, and overseeing onboarding and offboarding processes.
Outside of work, Yahaira enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family, including her children, husband, and extended relatives. She loves amusement parks, swimming, hosting gatherings, listening to music, and savoring summertime barbecues.
